Forty years later, this vital work continues! The Foundation continues to grow to support the mission of KRESA: to transform lives by inspiring educational excellence. We believe in the transformative power of education to strengthen schools, empower families, and uplift communities. Together, we work to bring educational initiatives to Kalamazoo County that foster innovative programs, nurture staff, and support students’ aspirations. The Work
Today, the KRESA Foundation supports initiatives that inspire excellence in education for all from cradle to career. We do this through a variety of programs including scholarships for students and grants for current and future educators.In 2023, the KRESA Foundation awarded nearly $80,000 in grants and scholarships:- $30,568 in Named Scholarships
- $21,000 in Targeted Assistance Grants
- $7,600 in YOU Scholarships
- $20,500 in College Scholarships
