Kalamazoo RESA Foundation

Any adult who has ever had the privilege of visiting a kindergarten classroom has relived the excitement of education.

The children are excited about learning, and the opportunities that each new day brings. Their futures Photo of kindergarten teacher and studentsare like an open book, where no dream is too big.

Those of us at the Kalamazoo Regional Educational Service Agency would like children to maintain that excitement for learning for the rest of their lives. We would like them to have every opportunity to learn from the best, experience the most, and reach their highest goal.

That is the purpose of the Kalamazoo RESA Foundation. Kalamazoo RESA services nine school districts in Kalamazoo County. RESA's provide programs that would be difficult or unfeasible for schools to provide for themselves, and provide a practical way for school's to offer the best programs for all students.

At the Kalamazoo RESA Foundation, we
  • Provide for the continuation of Kalamazoo RESA programs and services.
  • Develop exemplary or experimental education programs.
  • Enhance staff skills through increased professional development, training programs, and visitations.
  • Support and disseminate research and evaluation materials.
  • Provide capital outlay for necessary land or equipment acquisition, or for necessary facility expansion and modification.
Ways you can help us make a difference in education

The Kalamazoo RESA Foundation offers two ways to help you meet your charitable objectives. A gift today could be appropriated into two different funds:

Unrestricted Fund: Your unrestricted gift offers the Foundation the greatest flexibility to respond to the changing needs of the students and staff of Kalamazoo RESA. The Foundation uses the earned income on assets to provide grants, scholarships and special programs to Kalamazoo County students.

Restricted Fund: The Kalamazoo RESA Foundation has one restricted fund, for the benefit of students involved in Youth Opportunities Unlimited. If your interest lies with these students specifically, you can designate your gift to this fund.
